The Edinburgh Data-Intensive Research group addresses scalability issues usually associated with processing huge volumes of data with complex patterns of integration and analysis by providing mappings from abstract formulations to concrete and optimised executions of research challenges. In this talk Jano van Hemert presents several exemplars where we have dealt with scalability issues in scientific scenarios.
